EducationQuest Foundation is a nonprofit with a mission to improve access to higher education in Nebraska. The organization provides free college planning services, need-based scholarship programs, college access grants for high schools, college access resources for middle schools, and outreach services for community agencies.

Financial Aid and ScholarshipsGAP Assistance Program
This program provides need-based financial support for tuition and other eligible costs for approved, short-term, non-credit training opportunities focused on employment and select credit courses at a Nebraska community college. Eligible participants may receive full or partial assistance with direct training costs, including tuition, books, required fees, and equipment.
Learn to Dream Scholarship
Learn to Dream gives students that are eligible, including economically disadvantaged students enrolled in a Lincoln public school or private school, the opportunity to complete up to 60 semester credit hours at SCC.
People Obtaining Prosperity Scholarship
The Center for People partners with Southeast Community College to enable students who have been awarded the Pell Grant to earn their associate’s degree tuition-free. The Center for People offers wrap around services to help students be successful, including the People’s Pantry, computer labs, ELL classes, diaper assistance, volunteer opportunities, and more.

Nebraska Promise
The Nebraska Promise program covers undergraduate tuition at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for in-state students. With the Nebraska Promise, students who meet academic qualifications and have a family income of $65,000 or less (Adjusted Gross Income/AGI) or are Pell Grant-eligible can attend tuition-free.

Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship Program
The Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship Program pays tuition and mandatory fees for qualified, low-income high school students to enroll in college courses from Nebraska colleges or universities, either through dual-enrollment or early enrollment agreements with these institutions. High school students may apply for funding under this program by completing the ACE Student Application, which is reviewed by the Coordinating Commission for award consideration.

Some Lincoln area workforce development organizations offer financial assistance for education and training and offer other supportive services like food distribution, transportation, childcare assistance, and more.
